The Unfortunate Zoo Event

I haven't blogged in awhile, but I felt the need to based on this whole Harambe situation. Initially, when seeing this nationwide news travel up and down my timeline on Facebook, my feelings toward the whole thing was that it was an unfortunate event that happened. What killed me was/is the people's 'I-don't-really-know-what-the-fuck-I'm-talking-about-I-just-wanna-throw-my-two-cents-in-it' opinions. I mean, damn, do some research or something before talking out of the side of your necks!!

Anyhoo, at first, my opinion was neither here nor there because I completely sympathized with the mother and and the danger of the situation. I also sympathized with the fact that this animal's habitat was disturbed and he was only acting accordingly. However, after watching the video, I did not see that woman's son in that moat, I saw my child, and HAD that been my child (and YOURS too), you'd want the zoo to take any option possible to save that child's life. It'd be one thing if Harambe was indeed protecting the child and NOT putting it's hands on him, but that big ass monster dragged the hell out of that baby and there wasn't anything ANYONE could do about it. You damn sure didn't see any witnesses jumping in to help nor people trained for this type of situation.

People say the mother should've been watching her child and that she was neglectful. BS. No one is really to blame because, hell, I've been in a situation where I turned my back for a SPLIT SECOND and my son was gone. Kids move QUICK! I can only imagine what was going through her mind, especially, when she saw her son in that damn moat. I'da lost my shit, and after witnessing the dragging and flinging, ha...

I WOULDA SHOT THE GORILLA MY DAMN SELF!!

PS. On some real shit, had she TRULY been a neglectful mother, she wouldn't have had her kids at the zoo to begin with. Probably would've been sitting in someone's house getting her hair done with her kids fruit snack money while the hairdresser on the phone gossiping with fried chicken being cooked in the background. Leave them folks alone!

See What You Not Gone Do...

Is psstt or yell 'Aye girl' at me when you trying to get my attention. There's thousands of words in the English language, choose them carefully. Yeah, I hear you, but I don't see you, cuz I don't play that shit. I dont know who the fuck you think you talking to, but if you want to talk to me, I'm gone need for you to approach me like the Queen I am and introduce yourself properly. If you call yourself a MAN and if you think like a MAN, then step to me like a MAN. Other than that, foh.

Plain & simple. Enough of the fuck shit. These hoes and little ass girls got niggas thinking that shit is cute. It's not. Get it together.

Weekend Jams #1

So, I love listening to music,  and one of the things I do in my spare time (or when I remember) is download songs and make cds. Yes, I still make cds, lol. The beat and bass of the music sounds better in my car on a cd versus an MP3 player/phone. For those out there who loves to download music and need options, I will be posting my recommendations every week or every other week. I listen to various genres, but rap/hip hop & R&B are my preferred choices.

Here are my top ten songs that I love/can't stop listening to in no particular order!

01. Look at Me - Libra Jolie
02. Drippin' - Young Thug
03. Look at My Dab (Bitch Dab) - Migos
04. Digits - Young Thug
05. 2 Phones - Kevin Gates
06. Work - Rihanna
07. Wicked - Future
08. Thief in the Night - Young Thug
09. Hey There - Dej Loaf/Future
10. Stick Talk - Future

Dear Queen, Don't Play the Fool

One thing I hate and love is that relationships changes you. Changes you as a person, changes your mindset, and changes the way you  operate in future relationships; it definitely can put things in perspective on what you thought a relationship was, how it should be, and how it actually is.

My perspective at this point is that my worth is priceless, always have been, but some of my standards were low. I accepted things and dealt with things I clearly could have and should have walked away from, but I didnt. Even though I may have gained pain and maybe even pleasure, I know one thing I did gain was knowledge. I know what I want, I know what I dont want. I know men will treat you how you allow them to treat you, they will use you if you allow them to use you, they will take advantage of what you have to take advantage of, and a few will truly love you if you want to be loved, but one thing they cant do is take away your worth unless you let them.

To say you have a man that aint doing right just to have one is petty. Because not only are you diminishing your worth, but you're wasting time. Valuable time. Time that could be spent focusing on oneself or on a healthier relationship. Your man should want to build you up, not tear you down, make you smile, not be the reason you cry, give and not do all the taking. Relationships arent easy but being stupid in love is.

Do yourself and your happiness a favor and remember that you are priceless and that your time is valuable. Your life is priceless and the time in it is valuable. Dont diminish your status as a Queen being someone elses Fool.

10 Overused Ass Lines in Black Reality TV

I love watching TV, specifically reality tv shows, but when you watch a lot of black reality tv, you really start to notice how much these people use the same overused ass lines that I swear somebody is telling them to say. Every time I hear someone one in reality tv say any of these lines, I be like, "Lord, here we go." LOL, but I digress, here's my list:

"At the end of the day."

"My thing is..."

"(See) Here's the thing."

"Let's be clear./Clearly..."

"It is what it is."

"I'm over it."

"I can't."

"Throwing shade."

"Let's spill some tea." (or any form of this sentence)

"You're on the show because of me!"

And just because this line was so freakin' classic and hilarious (especially during the time/a particular scene), I have to give an honorable mention to Sheree Whitfield of The Real Housewives of Atlanta:

"Who gone check me boo?"

Can't nobody tell me I'm lyin. LOL.
